The Foolishness of Opposing God

The ultimate in foolish futility is to oppose God. You cannot win. You will not win. The early church was growing in number AND facing intense opposition. Historically, the church seems to do her best work in the face of adversity. Ease and prosperity are rarely the catalysts for the advance of the gospel. Why? This text would suggest that no one and no thing can thwart an authentic movement of God. God does as He pleases.
