All Religions Are NOT the Same

Series: Acts

Summary

Secular America would have you believe that there are many ways to God, that all religions are the same. Further, the pervasive, secular sentiment is that God does not care which way you choose to get to Him, so long as you are religious. This, in my view, is a damnable lie. Religion distorts God’s revelation of Himself. Religion is man’s effort to fashion a god to his own liking. This morning’s text is crucial. Paul is in Athens—a city of affluence, a city overflowing with false objects of worship; a city considered the intellectual epicenter of the Roman world. It was in Athens that men gathered to muse about philosophy, poetry, politics, and religion. One ancient writer said it was easier to find a god than a man in Athens.
