The Divinely Predetermined Death of Christ
The death of Jesus Christ was divinely predetermined. Both the Old and New Testaments make clear that the death of Jesus Christ was the sovereign plan of God. The Bible describes with extraordinary clarity the extent to which God went to redeem His people. As we think upon Jesus this Palm Sunday, who of us can imagine the full distress of the moments when our Lord was on His knees in Gethsemane?
