The Priority of Prayer Meeting
The early church prayed. God responded in power. Dr. R.A. Torrey, the noted evangelist and educator, said, “Pray for great things, expect great things, work for great things, but above all—PRAY.” In this morning’s text, we find recorded one of the hugely significant prayers in Scripture. It was the prayer meeting which followed the trial of Peter and John. What can we learn from this cry to God and from this prayer meeting about both prayer and God?
